We will fulfill our duty to explain our company to our stockholders and our stakeholders via timely and fair disclosure of information.
In order to maintain the lasting trust we have earned from our stockholders and investors, we will endeavor to attain accurate evaluations from the stock market so as to achieve an appropriate share value.
To this end, we at Hitachi Information Systems are dedicated to proactive investor relations.
Proactive Information Disclosure
At Hitachi Information Systems, we disclose and publicize information to our many stakeholders proactively via a variety of media, including the World Wide Web and other methods of disclosure. In particular, half-year and full-year earnings reports are presented via “earnings briefings” that are open to investors, stock analysts, and members of the media. At these briefings, the President explains our financial results and future strategy, and also makes himself available as much as possible for individual interviews.
Furthermore, we make sure to hold our shareholders' meetings in locations with easy access to allow as many of our stockholders to attend as possible. We also allow voting via the Internet so as to ensure the highest degree of voter participation. We make every effort to explain our business results and corporate situation in as easy to understand a manner as possible by using audio-visual materials.
Information obtained via these investor relations efforts is provided to top management so as to further enhance our corporate value and reliability. In this way, we are able to achieve an appropriate stock price, ensure stock value stability, smoothly raise new funds, enhance our corporate image, and build a “fan base” for our company.
Currently, we are in the process of compiling a new “disclosure policy” that we aim to complete in the middle of 2006, aimed at further enhancing the speed and reliability of our information disclosure.
