Environment policies were newly established at the start of the EMS in 1998. Since then revisions have been made in the form of additions following annual management reviews; after the revision in 2007, simplifications were made so that employees could understand the policies more easily. Redundant sections were deleted, as were duplications.
This was the first substantial revision since the revisions started, and was done after careful consideration of descriptions related to environmental activity based on ISO14001, and activities that are designed to further emphasize our primary business.
A decision was formally made by the management meeting in March, after a management review at the Environmental Management Committee in February 2007. Details were printed on pocket-sized EMS cards and distributed to all employees.
