Hitachi information Systems has presented our business to contribute to social CSR promotion through offering the IT service as a main profession.
In 2006, our activities were highly evaluated in many dimentions. For example, SAP Japan admitted our service toward the customer satisfaction and rewarded CCC certification. And also, the mass-media introduced our child care support system and Workplace Discussion Meetings on air.
In addition, as a part of the CSR activity, we have presented various activities like visit acceptance of the vocational school student and the philanthropy activities cooperating with the NPO.
We also reformed the corporate slogan and the logo design completely.
We will push on toward the realization of “The Mideum-term Management Plan” in future.

Sales of our “Fukushi No Mori ASP” for welfare services has begun. This is the first stage in the introduction of SaaS based products.
“Fukushi No Mori ASP”, which aims to reduce the office workload of welfare facility staff, was introduced in June 2007. This is the first stage product in the introduction of SaaS* based software, by means of which customers can choose the necessary feature, and which is different to conventional packaged software.
We plan to increase the SaaS product line-up by adding a service package, as described in the “Medium-Term Management Plan 2007-2010”.

Preventing the counterfeiting of live tickets and identification confirmation using muffler towels with μ chips embedded.
Muffler towels embedded with μ chips containing registered personal information were given to fan club members for the popular band ORANGE RANGE live tour AID JAM007, held in March 2007. This made counterfeiting prevention and lives ticket identification possible.
The RFID market is expanding rapidly, and the μ chip, which is excellent for authentication, and is small, is attracting attention―particularly in the field of counterfeiting prevention. Hitachi Information Systems will provide further solutions using the μ chip in the future.

Distributing security bracelets in Kidzania Tokyo, where children play lead characters.
We distributed security bracelets with RFID (wireless IC tags) in Kidzania Tokyo, a facility which opened in October 2006 for giving children from 2 to 12 years old occupational and social experiences. These have helped with entrance and exit management since the opening of the facility, and with the reinforcement of information security.
Hitachi Information Systems is dealing with many services which support increases in the efficiency of places with complex reception entry areas, information security, counterfeit prevention, utilizing the μ chip* which Hitachi, Ltd. developed.
*μ chip
World’s smallest class wireless IC tag. It records read-only data and so rewriting is not possible. This means the chip has high authenticity and reliability.
