| Corporate Governance |
- Established the IC Promotion center (April) to promote the importance of the improvement of internal control system maintenance
- Regularly implementation of internal audits and Board of Director's audit meetings |
Internal control efforts have only just begun, so there is still much work to be done. |

- Adhered to and complied with the revised Exclusivity Prohibition law
- Gained knowledge according to president's message regarding complete observance of revised Antimonopoly Law and compliance
- Established a compliance information system (February) to meet needs arising from enforcement of the Public Interest Disclosure Protection law (April 1, 2006) |

- HitachiJoho Seminar (a customer appreciation event) was held in Tokyo and Osaka (October)

We already make every effort to provide timely and accurate disclosure of corporate information, but strive to improve our information disclosure systems in light of our responsibility for making clear explanations. |

- Childcare and nursing care system enhanced and expanded (April)

- Started a full-scale international purchase center
- Raised awareness regarding compliance relating to supply to a group company

- Head Offices: Implemented clean up activity head office vicinity (every month)
- Head Offices: Participated 5th year in a row (September) in the clean up activity of Kugenuma beach (Sponsored by Kanagawa Coastal Environmental Foundation, Co-sponsored by Japan Environmental Action Network)
- Kansai Area Division: Participated in the clean up activity around the Midosuji area and office vicinity (every month)
- Kansai Area Division: Participated 5th year in a row in the Suma Beach clean up activity (Sponsored by: Kansai Clean Up Office) (September)
- Ibaraki Office: Participated in the clean up activity from Mito station to Ibaraki office vicinity (September)
- Kyushu Area Division: Participated in the clean up activity of Imazu Sports and Leisure Park (August)
- Implementation of the contribution activities for community activities

- The women's rifle shooting club participated in the Okayama National Sports event and East Asian Games (Macau) with great results |
